Pedro Gómez Millan
Pedro Gómez Millán is a Mexican-born cinematographer whose work has been featured at Sundance, Cannes, Berlinale, TriBeCa and PlusCamerImage among many other film festivals around the world. He has shot over a dozen of short films, commercials, feature and documentary films in locations in the U.S., Mexico, Europe, Asia, South America and Africa.
He shot the feature film THE COLOR OF TIME (starring Academy Award Nominees© Jessica Chastain, James Franco and Mila Kunis as well as Zach Braff, Henry Hopper and Bruce Campbell). It premiered at the 2012 Rome Film Festival in the CinemaXXI competition and had a US Theatrical and VOD release in December 2014.
He was the cinematographer and co-director of the feature film BLACK DOG RED DOG (starring Logan Marshall-Green, Chloe Sevigny, Olivia Wilde and Academy Award Winner© Whoopie Goldberg). The film is expected to have a VOD and Theatrical released in 2016.
He photographed the feature film X/Y directed by Ryan Piers Williams and starring Golden Globe Award Winner© America Ferrera, Melonie Diaz, John Paul Phillips, Dree Hemingway and Common. The film premiered in competition at the 2014 TriBeCa Film Festival and US Theatrical release is expected early 2015.
He shot THE FLY ROOM (starring Zoe Brooks and Haskell King), a period feature film that premiered in the 2014 Woodstock Film Festival directed by Alexis Gambis.
His cinematography credits also include HERBERT WHITE (starring Academy Award Nominee© Michael Shannon, Sundance - World Premiere), THE CLERK'S TALE (Cannes Semaine de la Critique - World Premiere) and the documentary feature film SATURDAY NIGHT (SXSW - World Premiere) all directed by actor and director James Franco.
Pedro shot MEMORIA a feature film directed by Vladimir De Fontenay and Nina Ljeti and adapted from the book PALO ALTO written by James Franco. It stars Thomas Mann, Sam Dillon, Bo Mitchell and James Franco. The film was acquired by Monterey Media and will be released in Theaters and VOD in 2016.
Commercial clients include Carolina Herrera, DirecTV, Saatchi & Saatchi, Moët & Chandon, Opening Ceremony, French's, Target, Subway, RDIO, Sol Republic, Corona, Bud Light, among others.
This last summer he shot the feature film HALF MAGIC, actress Heather Graham's directorial debut and produced by the Bubble Factor. In 2015 he also filmed MASTER CLASS, directed by James Franco and Bruce Thierry Cheung and shot on location in Canada.
He's currently working on the principal photography of THE INSTITUTE, a psychological thriller set in 1893 and directed by Pamela Romanowsky.
He splits his time between Los Angeles, New York and Mexico City.
